THOMAS' transaction entry is designed to eliminate the tedious task of data entry through the use of system- and patient-level defaults such as insurance, diagnosis, and co-pays. The user enters the date and procedure code, the computer can do the rest. The user can, of course, override any field on the charge entry default.
Why not have the computer calculate the patient's portion of the bill prior to submission to the insurance carrier? With THOMAS, you can! Maximum allowable, deductible status & amount, and visit coverage tracking can all be automatically performed by the system. Non-covered benefits and co-pays can also be charged directly to the patient's account while the transaction is being entered. This feature helps you collect more up-front, increasing monthly cash flow.
